The enemy of wisdom is pride.

Pride is something I try to think about a lot. In the Bible, it says it was the first sin. Whether you see the Bible as truth or as just historical content, I believe there is wisdom in that statement.

Once you believe that you know something for certain, you eliminate all the other possibilities. You close yourself off to new seeds of growth. Then, in order to grow, you need to fail. Obviously, we’re all going to fail many times in life. But wouldn’t you rather be open to being wrong and softening the fumble?

Everyone struggles with pride every once in a while. I know I sure do. What are you prideful about? What do you think you know?
